Add a Colored Box or Line

Use your mouse to draw a Colored Box on the page. Hold down the left mouse button while dragging the mouse on the page. Let go of the button. The Colored Box looks like this:

At any time, put your mouse inside a Colored Box and move it exactly where you want it on the page. You can place a Colored Box on top of another Colored Box:

You can place a Text Box on top of a Colored Box:

Putting objects on top of other objects is called Layering.

Click the Box or Line button on the Beginner Toolbar.

Use your mouse to size the Colored Box by it's edges to: change the width               change the height             make a line

An inactive Colored Box has no dots around the edges. An active Colored Box has dots around the edges. To make a Colored Box active, click on it one time. When it is active you can change the color of it by clicking this button on the Beginner Toolbar:
