E-Books |
What Is an E-Book? E-books are Electronic Books that one can read or browse on their computer. Most E-Books consist of pages in HTML format that are displayed in a web browser. They can be downloaded and installed on your computer. You can also find e-books on CD's in stores. With Cool Page you can easily make your own E-Books and put them on CD's or other removable media such as floppy and zip disks. This is a great way to share your website with friends and family. |
How To Make E-Books A little organization beforehand will pay off later. Start by creating a new folder somewhere on your computer. |
You will now have the opportunity to type a name for the new folder. Call it
E-Book or any name that you want. |
Move your webpages to the E-Book folder: Open each page in Cool Page and Export them to the E-Book folder. When all of your pages have been exported to the new folder that you made, you will be ready put your E-Book on some form of removable media. Tip - Use a text editor such as Notepad to create a file with instructions and other important information about your E-Book. Name this file read_me.txt and save it to the E-Book folder. |
Put Your E-Book On a Floppy Disk 1. Put a new floppy disk in the floppy drive on your computer. 2. Right click the E-Book folder to display the context menu. 3. Click on Send To 4. In the menu that pops up click on 3 1/2 Floppy [A] Windows will send the folder and all of the files in it to the floppy disk. |
Put Your E-Book On a CD Use your CD Burner software to copy the E-Book folder and all of it's files to a recordable CD. Also inclued the read_me.txt file with information and instructions about your E-Book. Make your CD automatically start when it is inserted? Creating Auto Run CD's |
