Frame Sets |

What is a Frame Set? A Frame Set is a way to display more than one web page in the browser window simultaneously. The window is divided into rectangular columns and rows, called Frames, where each Frame contains a different web page. For example, COOLPAGEHELP.COM is a Frame Set with two (2) rows and two (2) columns arrangement, 4 Frames total. |
Frame Set Arrangement The Frame Set, made up of individual webpages, is arranged by Rows (horizontal) and Columns (vertical). Some common Frame Set arrangements: 1 x 2 Frame Set (1 Row and 2 Columns) 2 x 1 Frame Set (2 Rows and 1 Column) |

Uses of Frame Sets There are many possible uses of Frame Sets. Perhaps the most common use is for keeping some static information in one frame so it is always visible, while some other information can change in another Frame as the visitor navigates a web site. The most common use of Frame Sets is with a site menu in the left or (top) Frame, and having the site pages load in the right (or bottom) Frame. There are even more creative uses of Frame Sets. Have a look at these examples: • Use one of the Frames to display advertisements. • Use one of the Frames to display an "always in view" menu as seen on the left here at CPH. • Use the main Frame to display pages hosted on another site, such as your Shopping Cart website or your Guestbook. • Artistic designs (a Cool Page user's business website) Frame Sets are a very powerful feature of Cool Page and their use is limited ONLY by your imagination. |
