Password Protect Your Page
Use the Page Password Tool to control who may look at your pages. You can restrict access to all viewers except those that you give a password to.

This is perfect for sections of your website that you want to keep private. Though this will not make your pages 100% secure it will certainly keep out all but the most advanced computer users. Try the demonstration below!

This tool generates code that you will need to insert onto your page using the Cool Page HTML Object Tool. See this guide to learn the proper use of the HTML Object Tool.
Instructions:
1. Passwords - Type in the password you want to use. You may use up to 5 different passwords that will gain access to your page.

2. Password Protected Page - Type the address of your webpage that you allow viewers to see. Use the full address as it would appear in the address bar of a web browser.   example: http://www.domain.com/page_name.html

3. Exit Page - Type in the full URL of the exit page as it would appear in the address bar of a web browser. This can be any page on your website or a page on another website.

Go back to the Demonstration above and click the Cancel button on the Password Prompt. Then click on "Click here to quit" to see my Exit Page in use. The Exit Page can be a webpage or image file. (.gif or .jpg)

4. Click the Generate Code button. Click the Select Code button. Copy the selected code.

5. Start a new page in Cool Page. Click on Insert Menu | HTML Object and paste the code into the HTML Object Properties window. Click the General Tab of the HTML Object Properties window and set the width to 200 pixels and the height to 100 pixels.

6. Put NOTHING else on the page. Click the Cool Page File Menu | Save and give page the name: access. Next, publish the page.

You must also publish your Password Protected Page and if the Exit Page is on your website you must publish that as well.
