Retain Text Box Settings All newly made text boxes in Cool Page are set to Size 12 - Helvetica Color Black font style. Change the settings to the font style of your choice and type your text. Later on, if you edit the text in a text box and begin a new sentence, the font settings will return to the default Size 12 - Helvetica. To retain your Text Box Settings for any text box and prevent the font settings from returning to the default ones, do this: 1. Draw a Text Box. 2. Choose the Font Style, Font Color and Font Size. 3. Press the Enter Key on keyboard and move the cursor down and "out of the bottom" of the Text Box. 4. Reactivate the Text Box at any time by clicking inside of it and your font settings will be automatically restored. This is true even when editing the Text Box at a later time. Special Text Characters Use Special Text Character in a Text Box with the Windows Character Map or the Special Character Tool in Cool Page. See this guide. Re-Sizing Text Boxes As of Version 2.72 and later, Text Boxes no longer need to be manually resized. Vertical resizing is now completely automatic, when either typing or resizing horizontally, so as to fit exactly the text. This improvement is necessary to support revolutionary page layout options coming in Version 3.0. To force a certain vertical size, follow the instrucrtions above (Steps 1 -4) to insert extra blank lines. Note, that if you had extra blank lines in Text Boxes before Version 2.72, then Text Boxes would expand to fit these. Prior to Publishing, delete the extra blank lines. (All new features and changes to the Cool Page program are documented in the Cool Page User Manual available from the Help Menu. See section entitled "Changes In Each Version of Cool Page".) |
